Van Hollen Statement on CBO's Updated Budget and Economic Outlook

Washington, DC – Maryland Congressman Chris Van Hollen, Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, issued the following statement on the Congressional Budget Office's updated Budget and Economic Outlook, released today:

"The CBO Outlook underscores the need for the Joint Committee to propose a plan to help put America back to work, coupled with a blueprint to reduce the long term deficit.  I look forward to working with my colleagues to develop a plan focused on boosting economic growth now and cutting the long term deficit in a balanced way that addresses both the expenditure and revenue side of the budget equation."
